Becoming Unstuck

God has shaped and prepared you to play a unique role in each step of your story. You have a destiny that will bring glory to God, share the grace of God, and extend the reign of God.

While I do not encourage 1, 2, 3 steps to achieve spiritual results, I do encourage you seeking God for His pattern to become unstuck. Begin with seeking God as to why you exist. Once you discover your WHY, begin again and declare it. Declarations are the way to speak life into your being. This is a major leverage to becoming unstuck. The Bible declares in Proverbs 23:7: “As a man thinks in his heart, so is he”. Declarations are statements that remind you and others around you, who you are and why you exist. When you believe what you declare, you agree with your Creator why you exist and your eternal purpose flows. When you are flowing, you are not stuck.

You now move in being unstuck because you are not defined by the job loss, the political climate, or by the loss of a relationship. You are no longer stuck in traditional structures within your mindset because you are now defined according to what God thinks about you.

Becoming unstuck is having your life anchored in His characteristics and His call for your life. Therefore, clarify your non-negotiables.  Your non-negotiable identifies what never changes about who you are, regardless of circumstances.

Becoming unstuck is not about doing, but about being. We can get so caught up in doing that we forget that being at peace, being focused, or being satisfied is a forward motion. Do not get discouraged because you feel as if you are in a place of backward motion because sometimes your backwards is the path to the forwards in your life. For instance, if you had to move back into your parent’s house, many feel that is a backward motion. But if you see the purpose of it being a place of transition rather than destination, you will take advantage of being able to save money, build your credit, if necessary, build a better relationship with family, etc.

I encourage you to move from being stuck and cease suffering from being ignorant of your own significance. Disconnect from the illusions and cling to your purpose.

An illusion is:

  • a thing that is or is likely to be wrongly perceived or interpreted by the senses.

  • A deceptive appearance or impression

  • A false idea or a belief

Return to speaking truth to power of who you really are and then become unstuck because God has so much in store for you.

The Truth Will Set You Free

There are times when we can see everything others need to do to gain a sense of freedom, but are not able to receive help for ourselves. Everyone else does it wrong, no one is living right, or you wonder why no one ever takes your advice. I find it exceptionally humbling to go before God and my spiritual parents who will tell me the truth about myself, my decisions, or my vision. Do you have an accountability person in your life? Is there a person that possesses wisdom and experience who will speak truthfully to you? Proverbs 11:14 states that “where no counsel is, the people fall; But in the multitude of counselors there is safety. There is help, but are you willing to listen, to submit yourself to wise counsel, or would you rather just keep repeating the same things over and over again with unfruitful results.

There was once a pastor who had a five-year-old daughter. The little girl noticed that every time her dad stood behind the pulpit, and was getting ready to preach, he would bow his head for a moment before he began. So, one day after the service the little girl went to her dad and asked him, “Why do you bow your head right before you preach your sermon?”

“Well, honey,” the preacher answered, “I’m asking the Lord to help me preach a good sermon.”

Perplexed, the little girl looked up at her father and asked, “Then how come He doesn’t do it?”

The truth may hurt, but the truth will set you free.
